This is a playthrough using Magnetic Megaman in 1-player Battle mode in the PS1 version of Marvel vs. Capcom. Read on below for more information...

"Magnetic Megaman" is a hidden and special version of Megaman. He is a hidden playable character.

===== Additional Information =====

---- Despite having the new super move, he is the same Megaman. I do not see any other differences.

---- In his ending when it shows him using Onslaught's Magnetic Shockwave move, he actually has Onslaught's colour palette. Unfortunately you cannot get this colour palette for him to use in the game.

---- Magnetic Megaman is only available in the PS1 version of the game.

---- In his winning pose where Dr. Light appears, you can hear him speak in the PS1 USA version of the game. He is muted in the Arcade USA version.

---- He is known as Rockman in the Japanese version of the game.

---- The Japanese version of the game is known as Marvel vs. Capcom: EX Edition.

Capcom's famous android character who can fire projectiles from his arm and obtain and use moves from defeated opponents.

===== About PS1 Marvel vs. Capcom =====
As with the previous two Vs. games, due to the RAM limitations of the PS1 hardware, cuts needed to be made in porting the arcade game to the console... and the main cut is the fact that you cannot switch characters during a fight. Therefore it operates more like a traditional one-on-one fighter, consisting of separate rounds. Tag elements such as the Support move, Counter and the Team Super Combo are still possible though.

More funny is that when you use the Variable Cross move (the one where you control both your characters on screen), you actually get a clone of your opponent as your partner!

Another change is the ability to choose between a regular character and a Special Partner as your 2nd character. If you choose a regular character as your partner than you get to have the Team Duo Super, partner counter move and the Variable Cross (which uses a clone of the opponent). On the other hand, if you have a Special Hero as your 2nd character (for example Jubilee), you'll get infinite usage of their support moves, and using Variable Cross will involve them repeating their support move over and over for the duration of it. You don't get the Team Duo super nor partner counter move when you choose a Special Hero.

It's interesting seeing the Special Partners appear on the cards and as the 2nd character on the Stage XX screen!

Capcom have also included a mode called Cross Over which actually allows character tag-team switching - with the drawback being that 1P and 2P side's characters will always mirror each other. So for example, if Player 1 chooses Ryu and Spiderman, Player 2 will also have Spiderman and Ryu. By doing this it makes the tag-team switching possible because technically only 2 characters are stored in the PS1's RAM.

Other drawbacks include animation sprite frame cuts, making some moves look a bit choppy/jerky. If you're used to the Arcade version and have a good eye for sprites (like me), you'll definitely notice the cuts.

New features includes the ability to cancel Special Moves into Super Combos, and Super Combos into another Super Combo.
