This is a play-through using Dan Hibiki in the PS1 version of Street Fighter Alpha 1. Read on below for more information...

Dan is a hidden mid-boss in the game. He is an unlockable playable character.

===== Additional Information =====

---- Obviously, he can only be fought against as a hidden character in the game.

---- His personal boss in the game is Sagat.

---- He has a unique voice produced for the PS1 and Saturn versions of SFA1. His arcade version voices are different and instead ripped off Ryu's voices.

---- SFA1 is the only game where Dan has some unique voices and grunts. They were changed for SFA2 and beyond.

---- The game is known as Street Fighter Zero in Japan.

===== About Dan Hibiki =====
Dan is of course, a play on SNK's Ryo and Robert from Art Of Fighting. This is due to Capcom seeing the two SNK characters as rip-offs of Ryu and Ken. He is designed to be somewhat of a joke character who is notably weak.

He is obviously yet another head-swap of Ryu/Ken... but due to him being an exaggerated joke character with an arrogant and over-confident personality, he quickly developed his own persona which made him unique enough.

Dan is usually a weak character in every game he has appeared in.

===== About SFA1 =====
Street Fighter Alpha 1 kicked off the brilliant Alpha series... the game still holds a place in my heart. Despite it being a bit "broken" (competitive-gameplay-wise), it's still good fun. It's the only Alpha game with chain combos as one of it's core mechanics.

On a personal level, I think the Arranged/Remixed soundtrack in the PS1 and Saturn versions are one of the best styles of instrumentals that Capcom have produced. It's basically the really emphasized jazzy, funky techno stuff.
