4The most animated background in any NES game, ever. And a level which is ideal for showing just how OP Metal Blade is.
Really though, I don't get it. I know that these Robot Masters were initially designed by fans, so there was bound to be some weird stuff included somewhere along the line, but Bubble Man almost seems like a joke when it comes to actually fighting him after an otherwise fine level. A robot that drifts around underwater and lobs bubbles? Being weak to Metal Blade (like most things are), Bubble Man doesn't really get to put up much resistance before exploding and giving up his not-really-made-for-combat weapon.
Unlike Metal Blade though, Bubble Lead is actually required to finish the game. Also unlike Metal Blade, Bubble Lead has very little practical use for almost the entirety of everything else.
