A level where platforming jumps form the main bulk of the obstacles, with those bastard Pipi things dropping shit everywhere... meaning it's another excuse to go around with the Metal Blade, turning several potentially problematic screens into trivial moments of target practice. I promise I'll stop using it eventually, okay?

I mean, I'll have no choice by MM3.

Air Man is just one of those bosses where dumb luck comes into play; the pattern of projectiles can go from being completely unavoidable to laughably wide open, and there's not a damn thing you can do to affect this behaviour at all. Thankfully it's a short fight if you have Leaf Shield ready, as Air Man will leap straight into you and get a load of twigs choking his vents up.

Boom.

And then it's one of the longest 'Get Equipped' screens ever. And the music breaks.
