Now this is an odd little Mega Man title that was released in the U.S. only apparently that few people know about. I bought this one cart-only years ago for about ten bucks... I guess it was worth it. I can remember back in the late 90s when I first heard about this game. I used to keep track of all the things I wanted to buy back when my collection was smaller and I always had this game circled when I saw it in a now ancient and torn Funcoland product list.

Being dubbed "The Best of Mega Man" (I think) on the sheet, I was like "What? Mega Man on a Sega console!?" Of course, I now know the error of my ways (a handheld isn't exactly the same as a console either), but this game will forever remain a bit of curiousity for me. This game drove me bananas when I played it years back, as it suffers a lot of the problems that R&F for the GBA did, primarily the limited field of view which creates many "leap of faith" moments. Clearly, this game was made for Mega Man pros who know their stages.

This game is a combination of Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5 and features numerous levels (besides the four listed), detailed graphics and smooth gameplay, not to mention added difficulty. It was licensed by Capcom and released by U.S. Gold. There isn't much more needed to say besides that, though I think the ending sucked if memory serves. I'm a little surprised they call him Rock in the intro too.

Oh, sorry about the ocassional flickering. It's beyond my control. This is said to be one of the most prized titles for GG on wikipedia, but I don't think you're missing much if you don't have it to be honest. Enjoy.
