Mega Man Zero 2 (GBA), no damage taken in Sage Harpuia's stage (Crystal Cave) while achieving an S-Rank (100 points); Active Form only. This video's part of a series; a playthrough dedicated to using only the Active Form for more stylish and fresh gameplay. This is a NG+ file.

Sage Harpuia (Crystal Cave) Overview:

I'm just going to flat out say it: Harpuia's stage is boring. Not hard, just... a snore fest. The only thing that keeps me going through it is the music (but that's not much of a shocker. Zero series is known for it's great soundtrack). Other than that, the level design's boring and it mostly speaks for itself. Once you memorize where the spikes are and where the invisible floors/walls are, it's nothing to shake up over. Only things to mention are the crawler Pantheons sneaking in their random cheap shots every now and then. Once again, they can be reacted to, but when you're almost always expecting them to do nothing but crawl, you kind of see the difficulty in expecting them. Second is making sure when you're on top of the fallen ship, never fire charged shots (unless it's to attack the stationary obstacles) because anything weaker than a lemon shot will kill the mind-controller soldiers, and... yeeeeah, bye-bye, 100 points.

Sage Harpuia's actually a major step up from his Zero 1 appearance. He doesn't just pattern reset after being knocked back anymore, so you really have to react to him more now. The RNG affects him much more than it did before, so the dude's got game now. He's still quite predictable, however. He'll have a few combinations of attacks he'll do in succession, so when you analyze what he can and can't do after being knocked out the air, dealing with him becomes much easier. Harpuia's always supposed to be the most mobile of the Guardians, so it's nice to see they finally got the speedy battle down to the T in his Zero 2 incarnation. Note that you can charge chain rod after normal attacks to combo through his i-frames. I just didn't do it because I wanted to drag the fight out a little more. That method just eats away at boss HP in general.
