Bright man plays with the theme of turning off the lights. Just like when you were locked in the basement as a child. Turn the lights on by shooting the green robot, but hit a bulb and it's back to black. , Their projectiles are more trouble then the darkness, so take them out if you can. The gaps are fairly wide so need one foot off before you jump. Careful attempting this one.

The totem poles are 8 shots so smash your thumb or cheat and use a turbo fire. Hop on the mechanical grasshopper and, urgh what do grasshoppers and totem poles have to do with any of this. It's a result of fans drawing the robot masters and having to retrofit the level design.
Later the series clearly became self aware of its own silliness with bosses like sheep man.

Another drawback of the charger is that it's loud and distracts from the soundtrack. I'm glad they ditched it for Mega Man 9 and 10. Speaking of which, are we getting a mega man 11? I think it's been long overdue. And it better be like Mega Man 1-6 or I'm going to be pissed.

The ceiling robots are too quick to slide under. Just take your time kiting them so they fall and blast them off. By the way 1 fully charger buster is the same as 3 shots, which is important to know later when we fig ht bright man.

This part is a bit tricky. The grasshoppers like to overlap, there's a total pole that comes up quickly, but good thing you got lag to help you out. Moments like that help me understand why the wanted to emulate instead of a full on remaster. Which makes me think that there will be another more definitive mega man classic collection one day. I'm talking after Legacy Collection 2, which I'm a bit nervous about. I'll reserve speculation for the comment section.

This guy I usually dodge because I like to keep the lights on in this section. If it goes dark I get dizzy. The green platforms stay on and the red ones drop. For any of my audience that's colorblind can you tell the difference? Let me know in the comments. I like how the shots follow mega man here it looks like Gradius or something.

The trick to Bright is shoot him so that his HP never equals 16, 8, or 4. Remember I said a fully charger buster does 3. Since there are 28 health bars, you never avoid his 12th, 20th, and 24th shot. Say for example you shot him 11 times with your regular buster, you'll want to use a charge shot next time so bright man will have a total of 14 damage, or 14 bars left. It can be hard to see the health bar so I recommend counting in your head. This is one of my favorite boss fights 'cause of this, and I look forward to discovering more that have this type of secret meta.
