Take out the porcupines as quickly as possible because your buster won't damage them when they turn into breath mints. Finish the job so you don't get overwhelmed with needles, like most of the music industry. The needles from porcupine can be destroyed by your buster, but they also block your shots from making contact, so prepare to have to jump.

I really should be sliding here to avoid the hardhat's bullets. I'm just being overly cautious with these ball launchers. Keep a medium distance and if you see a ball coming, run in and try finishing him off.

If you miss the met, slide underneath and shoot him in the back. Keep running and the dragonfly should pass right over the gap. Shoot the metool, wait and bait the dragonfly, drop off the ledge and shoot the hardhat with style. Don't get too cocky though.

You can change directions while sliding if you need to adjust your timing, making this screen a non issue. You need to anticipate this next needle retracting so get used to the timing. Slide off.

Some good enemy placement by the devs on this one. Your best bet is to make it to the upper ledge and jump over the dood. Let's try again.

You can position yourself halfway off the top of the ladder and shoot at his feet, or you can stand there and shoot and duck back down the ladder when the hammer comes flying at you. Both methods are mad easy. This last guys is easier to destroy than dodge, don't be fooled.

Needleman is extremely difficuly, but there are some subtle zoning techniques that can help you out. Stay a couple inches away from the wall and keep shooting while jumping to avoid his needles. When he comes at you, delayjump to avoid his head attack. Slide away to right side of the side of the background column. If you're lucky he will headattack from far away which gives you plenty of punishment time. If does his needle attack you might need to make some small mid air adjustments while jumping to avoid damage. When avoiding the nails try jumping over the first two and let the next two fly overhead. Needleman is arguably the hardest robot master to beat during a perfect run through Mega Man 3.
