Jumpshoot the bouncing robot and land on the first step before taking out the snakehead. If you miss this next guy just hug the left wall until he passes. Make sure he's dead. Jump off the neck and shoot the next head. Snake man's stage is densely packed and busy, just like my snakeman.

Jump over the first ambush and take out the lower and middle snakeys. The adventures of Lolo also had creatures call snakeys, another NES classic.

Stand as far away as possible and wait for him to shoot before jump-attacking. You can get 1 or 2 more jumpshots in before his next attack if you're quick enough.

Take out the upper snake and slide away from the potton when he drops his face. Take out the enemies when possible and don't forget to slide when necessary.

Kite the first pole vaulters and take him out. He usually doesn't respawn making your life easier. If you decide to slide under the second, just head for the ladder to avoid the onslaught.

Remember you can only shoot the hammer Joe when he turns black. The developers were real subtle about this.

The second giant snake is the same as the first, make sure to widen your jumps ans always assume he shoots 3 fireballs instead of 2.

Let the bubukans vault over you before turning around and jumping over them. You can try killing them but they're 4 hits so it's easier to dodge.

This next part pisses me off because it has nothing to do with snakes and you can actually fall through the rising platforms if you're not in the center. Sometimes having so much as a toe off can resulted in an unexpected glitchy death. Blast the the clouds only if you have a clear jump. This platform you should ride to the very top before attempting to clear the gap.

Shooting the clouds depends on the opportunity. If you see yourself in line of their fire and want them to speed up, shoot away their cloud, but I generally avoid confrontation until I reach the stable platforms.

Shoot snakeman and tuck inside the middle hump. This is your safe space. You can also jump over him for the top platform. This works when he's charge at you or using his snake weapon. There's a nice rhythm that's easy to get into, diminished only by the ridiculous amount of slo mo that occurs whenever's there's more than 2 sprites on screen. So it's actually easier when snakeman attacks, cuz the snakes stay on screen for a while and help with your reaction time.
