Elecman has arguably one of the toughest stages in the first game of the series. It's long, it's vertical, and it's hard. The easiest way to get up these platforms is to shoot the ground traps so that they freeze. Points off for making this the beginning of a level. Those blue circles look like an indicator of something, but really they're just electric zappers that been turned off, probably by the map designer who decided to be a little less sinister. You like how they used the same screen? That ladder on the bottom right leads to an energy ball if you need it.

Get up there as quickly as possible and be ready for the watchers on the left. You save time by getting off the ladder and jumping. That wasn't the greatest execution though.

Block puzzles. Love em or hate em? Start a dialogue in the comment section. The ones on Mega Man 1 were short and reasonable, and never too brutal. You could have taken the left path it's probably faster if you can make that alcove jump.

I wouldn't recommend getting the energy ball, it's too risky and the checkpoint is just up ahead.

There appears to be two options, but really there's only one, because there's no reason to go up the left ladder ever.

You can skip the ladders pretty quickly by jumping and pressing up at the top of your jumps. I'm totally screwing it up though.

I find that shooting this guy is much safer than trying to make it to the screen.

There's that magnet beam. You need the guts arm to obtain it, which I have but I'm sworn to mega buster for the time being. And Yes I know about the glitch where you can warp through the wall to get it. You can use the hyper bombs or rolling cutting if freezing them is too difficult. You can only go right if you have those two items, but the left path isn't that hard anyway. As far as no damage run though, elecman is pretty straightforward. There aren't many enemy encounters, it's mostly just timed events, so all that's required is a little rote memorization. I feel bad for those who took the right path, I remember when I did that, man was I pissed. The boss however is a different story altogether which we will be coming up shortly. I usually go for the kill but an opportunity presented itself. I don't like this boss corridor. And there's not really a good farming location on this level.

Elecman requires patience and consistency. Keep your eyes glued to his hands. As soon as he raises his arms, shoot and wait for him to run up and do it again. You need to do this 28 times. If you shoot too soon your bullets will pass through his iframes, if you're too slow you'll take massive damage from elecbeam, which is probably the strongest boss weapon in all of megaman. The timing isn't pixel perfect, but it's pretty damn close, I'd say about three frames. so that's 1-tenth of a second. If you're using a turbo button you can widen the window a little and buy yourself a frame or two. It's more than difficult than it looks. Try it for yourself and let me know how it went.
