Time to send Sigma packing for good, but it sure won't be easy.

For this form, Sigma does something no other boss has done up to this point...have multiple parts to target. The four heads use various attacks that hit both characters with the top middle one doing the most damage whenever it acts. As for the total damage incurred...well, there's some variance due to some of the heads having two attacks to select from, but rest assured it's going to total up to 1600 damage to the duo or more at times.

So, what to do? Aim for the core, aka Sigma, and end this fight as fast as possible before it turns into a revival spamfest. Magnetic Stone is its weakness.

However, there's a problem...well, two even. One, Giga Laser I believe does jack squat to the four heads so you can't even rely on that to drop even one of them to make it easier to heal through.

The second problem is far more severe though. Every time Sigma gets to act, he's gonna heal himself and the four heads for around 4500-5500 hp each. Yeah, that's a problem.

This battle would be an absolute nightmare were it not for one fatal weakness Sigma has...he can be poisoned via Chameleon Sting. X & Zero's first and most absolute priority should be to apply that status ailment onto Sigma. Considering the ailment's damage proc triggers each time someone takes an action, that's gonna add up very fast with 4 heads, Sigma himself, and X & Zero. The poison will do 1601 damage each time it goes off. Sigma's not going to be able to keep up with that.

As such, once it's applied, feel free to throw Magnetic Stone spam on to Sigma if you can, but you'll likely be focused more on keeping the duo afloat. In my case though, the last couple of minutes turned into a revival spam fest until Sigma folded from the damage the ailment was dealing.

After the battle, Sigma goes boom for good, but X all too well knows he's gonna be back. In fact, after the maverick roll call & credits roll, this gets confirmed hard.

That being said, you're then kicked back to the game select screen, but with credit for clearing the first game.

Next time, we see how the second leg of X & Zero's journey began. Fate promises more twists before this story concludes I assure you.
