Last stage for this endgame zone.

On the first screen, you can head through the wall to your left after climbing up a pair of ladders to find some hidden S-Tanks.

As for the boss here? Well, we're back into story relevant bosses as Vile finally decides not to run like the purple armored coward he is, complete with X saying what I'm sure you all have surmised at this point...Sigma's the one directing this show.

So, Vile decides to get it on by...manning a giant red robot? Sure, why not!

Vile throws a surprising little twist into this fight...all of the attacks on tap do hit both characters as per usual, but they are not fixed damage attacks, making it hard to pinpoint just how much damage moves will do on top of estimating how much health the robot has remaining. Suffice it to say just about any attack you see is gonna shave 550+ health off the duo, sometimes more.

Once the robot's weakness of Tornado Spin gets utilized one too many times, the robot blows up, but of course, Vile survives. Unlike before though, he decides to initiate another battle.

For round 2, Vile goes back to using fixed damage attacks, hitting for anywhere from 520 to 600 damage. His weakness has also changed to Magnet Missile.

Now, because I feel like getting sync'd exp bars for the duo after this, I'm going to have to let Zero take one for the team. No matter because X can just Magnet Missile, heal on next turn, use Magnet Missile again and repeat as needed until Vile falls because he doesn't have too much hp.

Once Vile eats the last hit, he becomes space dust, but not before saying X will "never defeat our new master", implying there's someone else evil besides Sigma behind the scenes. More importantly, Zero nor the data that was taken from him back in the valley is mentioned.

In any case, one thing's clear...Sigma's alive again and he needs to be put away for however many years until he gets resurrected somehow.

Next time, the true endgame stage rush begins.

Now, a couple of bonus clips. The first is finally cashing in on that easter egg from Mino Magnus's stage. Two elite maverick hunters at lv50 with perfectly sync'd up exp bars? Yes please! Zero will need a few boosters to equalize his base stats with X though.

The other bonus clip...well, simply put, I'm a doofus. Remind me never to bumrush a boss like I did in this clip and expect to kill him before he kills me, heh. This would be my first true game over, not counting showing off the screen back in Magnet Man's stage.
