Here's my playthrough of the second Metal Slug game, Metal Slug 2!
In my opinion considerably more difficult than the first game, and in many places is just brutal in how much and how fast you have to tap the shoot button to survive. For the uninitiated, you don't auto-shoot by holding down a button or anything, you press the button for each individual bullet, or once for 4-5 bullets in the case of Heavy machine gun or the Slugs. Really makes you wonder how many broken controllers and thumbs the Metal Slug series is single-handedly responsible for.

Recorded from the PS3 Neo Geo Station emulation, this run unfortunately isn't as legit as it might appear at first glance. My whole point was to record a decent looking single segment regular playthrough and not any kind of "perfect" or "no death" challenge a save feature is useful for, but two fairly incredible things happened to me towards the end of the playthrough which I had to make sure were saved for my own future viewing pleasure.
First save, which I didn't load, is right after the tunnel at mission 5 when the screen goes black. The overall run was the best I've had, which in itself was a miracle seeing how I couldn't sometimes feel my thumb anymore, but I also managed to pass the tunnel without dying. While not entirely unheard of, no death in the tunnel was still rare enough candy for me that combined with the rest of the run I just knew I had to have it all saved for a video.
Second save, which for reasons unknown to myself I did load a few times, is after the bridge in mission 6. I have never ever passed the bridge without dying before, best I could hope for was to die once in the middle and use the respawn invincibility to make it to the other side, and that's why I decided to save there, just in case. After that point the playthrough's just shit, so don't bother watching it.

Oh, and I turned off the helpful slow-down feature in the game by turning on the increased clock-speed option available in this version. Sure, the slow-down makes the game easier, but also decreases the fun of the action, and the action is why people play Metal Slug.
Funny, though, that Metal Slug accidentally beat Max Payne to the Bullet-Time by a couple of years.
