Metroid Fusion - One Minute Game Review
One Minute Review of Metroid Fusion:
Samus Aran must eradicate the X Parasite from the BSL Space Laboratory orbiting around planet SR388. The story is more integral in this title, giving more context to the player about Samus and the Metroid series, plus it helps to build up certain encounters that can be very tense and scary. There is an AI that sometimes eliminates the sense of loneliness necessary in Metroid games, but it makes for a great contrast each of the many times Samus is trapped somewhere in the station. Controls are very responsive in all areas. The atmosphere is on point for both environments and music as per every Metroid game, although a few artistic details scream 2002. The map you explore evolves based on the story's events, and instead of exploring a big planet you get to explore and find secret upgrades and areas inside smaller chunks of the station in a pre-set order, which eliminates the wastes of time you might experience in games like Super Metroid.
