Here's a quick roundup of the most important news that came out of Gamescom and Quakecon 2021.

Elden Ring was not at Gamescom itself but it has been revealed to be the most ambitious Souls-like game to date, and it will open up the formula with an open world space similar to Zelda Breath of the Wild, while also featuring the usual Souls-like combat and dungeons, as I predicted in my video about the best games at E3 2021, which by the way you can check in the top-right corner, the gameplay will take inspiration by Sekiro, and implement more platforming to allow for stealth strategies and exploration. Elden Ring is set to release on January 21 2022 for PC, Xbox Series X and S, Playstation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Believe it or not, Bethesda announced yet another release of Skyrim! Skyrim Anniversary Edition will include all the Skyrim DLCs, current generation upgrades, and 500 pieces of content from the Creation Club, which is the actual new spin of this package. Current owners of the Skyrim Special Edition will receive a free next-gen upgrade and a reduced cost if they want to fully upgrade to the Anniversary edition, though is worth noting a pricing has not been given yet at the moment of making this video. I also heard that when Bethesda made big updates to the Special Edition mods used to break a lot, so I hope they are taking them into account this time around, as they are the reason why Skyrim is still played a lot even today! Skyrim Anniversary Edition comes out November 11 2021 on PC, Xbox Series X and S, Playstation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Dying Light 2 showed off some more gameplay featuring great parkour and platforming mechanics. This game has very great potential as it puts you into a zombie infested world in which the zombies are not the focus, but rather something you want to survive to. With the many factions and story ramifications the developers showcased, Dying Light 2 promises to be an amazing experience for all gamers. Dying Light 2 launches December 7 2021 on PC, Xbox Series X and S, Playstation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Forza Horizon 5 made a great impact at the Xbox Gamescom show, as it met the expectations of its fans with its amazing graphics, incredible open-world and interesting car challenges that only Forza Horizon can provide. Forza Horizon 5 launches November 5 for PC, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One.
The original Quake has been re-released as it was announced at Quakecon. The port of this classic of the shooter genre features cross-play, four-player co-op, multiplayer with up to eight players, enhanced visuals and more. You can play it right now on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with backward compatibility for Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5!
And finally Halo Infinite showed a great thematic trailer for the first multiplayer season, revealed its release date being December 8 2021, and the limited edition Elite Controller and Xbox Series X!
