Not a good run, Nox has a faster one by 15 seconds and I just choked a lot of my strats like rolling the first bomb and the 3rd bomb backstep. Just uploading it to complete the elder dragon set I seem to have here.

I've never really used sleep bombing in previous MH games as I hate the inventory management part of it all. I still hate it in MHW and I just feel like it takes too many resources for one hunt that you can do normally. It's not rocksteady backhop though, so it's something different at the very least.

Anyways, this video's rant is about the new Advancing Slash, or dash attack as I call it half the time. In the 4th generation games this was a running overhead slash that stayed on your character's left side. In MHW this is some weird rising slash that crosses over from the right side to the left side.

And this is a major problem for Kirin, especially when it's in everything bounces mode. Essentially the hit will connect at the first point it collides with the monster. For the new rising slash this is often low on the right. For trying to headsnipe Kirin, you pretty much need to do some weird angled slash if you're approaching from the left side to avoid clipping the body yet having the end of the slash touch the head.

So it's just a massive pain to aim since not only does it now start from the bottom, it also crosses over and makes accurately hitting parts hard. This is a general problem with any hitzone that's high off the ground. The old dash attack was an incredibly fast high hitting attack for SnS which lacks ways to reliably jab at tall hitzones now. Your only overhead slash is now charged backstep, which isn't fast or reliable at all.

So yeah, bring back the 4U dash attack. Even the 3rd gen one had the right type of hitbox.
