Minecraft 1.12 Single Player: PARROTS! | Osiris S2 - Striking Out - E5
16In this episode we go on a quest to find PARROTS, because they seem extremely elusive... :) Welcome to Osiris season 2 - Striking out, a series where we play Minecraft 1.12 Single Player, currently on snapshot 17w13b! In this episode 5 (E5), we go around the world, gathering resources for an upcoming project, as we search for the Minecraft 1.12 Parrots.
In Minecraft Parrots are passive mobs, and will never attack. They are able to fly, and will usually fly upwards if struck. Parrots will fly under normal conditions, but they can tire and return to the ground. Minecraft 1.12 Parrots may fly upwards and then spin around in circles, this is likely due to a bug.
Minecraft Parrots crowd and settle around other nearby mobs. Parrots may also imitate the idle sounds of hostile mobs nearby (as well as the hiss of creepers); the sound produced by the parrots are simply the same sound with a higher pitch. They tend to look in the direction of the mob they are mimicking.
Minecraft 1.12 Parrots can be tamed by feeding them cookies. Once tamed, they can be told to sit with a right-click. The player can walk through a tamed parrot to have it sit on that player's shoulder. Although it will dismount if the player jumps or enters water, a tame parrot will slowly fly after the player, and may teleport if there is a sufficient distance.

Parrots come in five different colors: red, green, blue, cyan and gray. They are 0.5 blocks wide and 1 block tall.
Season 2 of this Minecraft 1.12 Single Player is very exciting for me! I first decided to strike out around the new year, but was held back by the fact that we would have to haul so much gear. Then the shulker box was added and that proved to be the solution! Minecraft 1.12 Single Player is now changed due to the shulker box, and we can do things that were previously really tedious quite easily.
Minecraft 1.12 is a new update for Minecraft that introduces Parrots, Terracotta blocks, Concrete blocks and Concrete Powder blocks. It will probably have many more features in the future. Minecraft 1.12 Single Player is a variant of Minecraft 1.12 where I play in Survival and alone. It lends itself to creativity and a slightly harder gameplay as I can't take help of other Minecraft 1.12 players. Minecraft 1.12 Single Player is a fun way to play the game though!

This series is a Minecraft 1.12 Single Player series, we play Minecraft 1.12 Single Player starting on the snapshot 17w13b, the latest snapshot of Minecraft 1.12 (the colorful update). The news so far in Minecraft 1.12 the colorful update include Minecraft Terracotta blocks, Minecraft Concrete Powder and Minecraft Concrete, all in all 48 new blocks! The Minecraft 1.12 snapshot 17w013b also have revamped the wool, carpet and banner colours, something I find really really good! The new Minecraft 1.12 carpet colour is just so vibrant and really pops! The big news in 17w13b is Minecraft Parrots! This is an amazing addition, and I'm very excited about it :)
Looking to the future, we will follow along with the Minecraft 1.12 snapshots and Minecraft 1.12 pre releases, as soon as they seem stable enough. We will of course move on to any future versions as well. Minecraft 1.12 is not the end :)
