Difficulty Played: Hard (Don't have Insane unlocked on PC)

So, this game is pretty hard when comparing it to other similar titles. It's meant to be unforgiving and force you to learn from your mistakes. You die 20+ times on a boss? Well, it's usually your fault. Learn the patterns, etc.

The only difference in difficulty is your health bar that I've noticed. And, well, more common enemy spawn locations. You do the same amount of damage across difficulties. On Easy it's massive, Normal is more standard size, on Hard, well, you see what it is. On "Insane" it's a little less, almost a sliver. It doesn't matter though, outside of Easy, bosses will kill you in 2-3 hits, except Insane, which is 1 hit kills, pretty much, even with Health Upgrades.

So, why no damage runs on bosses? If you beat a boss without taking damage, they'll drop a special item that usually can't be obtained elsewhere. Or if it can, it costs too much munny.

Something to note, is the game doesn't just register boss damage. There are items you can get later, that take health away to strengthen your attacks. Do NOT use this during the fight, as they count as taking damage and will forfeit your item. Use them before fight triggers.

Anyway, onto the boss. You face this boss in the Subterranean Grave.

So, what are her attacks?
She will summon two ghost dogs. These are the same dogs that you run into early in Karst City.
She will crouch down and snap out at you with her beak. It has a long reach.
She will fire a beam of energy while standing. If you're ducking the whole fight, it won't hit you

So, right after my hardest boss, Fennel, we get to what I considered the easiest boss in the game. Well, easiest with the set-up I run. I'm sure she could be hard when trying to take her down via other means, but I don't know. Anyway, to explain that high burst of damage at the start of the fight. I have Necklace of Sacrifice, which increases Kaho's attack by 100% when on low health, on top of the Tainted Missive, which when used, drains health and boosts attack by 100% so at the start of any given fight from here on out temporarily, I can have 200% attack damage for a brief time before it drops to 100% I think getting to the boss took longer than actually fighting her?

For doing no damage, she drops the Sparse Thread, which when equipped as an active item, can be used to create a burst of energy around Kaho. The boss was also guarding a Crest, that allows us to charge our arrows faster. This is the reason I came her right after Fennel, as beating Fennel allows us to access the crest that gives us a second level of our bow charge.
