Monster Business (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
đšī¸ Monster Business is another relatively unknown platform gem on the Amiga. It has great hookability, simple arcade gameplay, and some nice tunes. I'd never heard of this until very recently, so lets give it a shot.

Yes, this is yet another game which really I got to know thanks to Round 14 2017 of the Lemon Games Competition, which I co-run with the English Amiga Board. This game had come up in the votes before, but this was the first time I'd sat down to play it. On the surface, I thought the graphics and overall presentation was lacking something, and might be a game I'd normally pass over. But after learning and memorising the patterns (almost each day) for three whole weeks, by the end I had a great respect for it.
This was recorded towards the very end of the competition, and was my furthest ever try, even after a few more failed attempts. The editing was straight forward, as it was recorded as one long video, and the same with the narration. No serious problems to report with this one, very smooth.
At the end of the video, I didnt want to bother with any more Patreon nag screens, as who cares about any of that? But I decided to keep them in for now, as it gives the review a bit more variety, and will probably be the only time anyone sees this stuff. Im genuinely shocked I havent had one Patreon, and my videos are getting half the views of last year, so thats a good reason to stop while a few people still love the shows.

The graphics I think are nothing special, and reminded me of Bounty Bob Strikes Back. The playability on the other hand is very much like so many other arcade games, in that it is tricky and yet can be a breeze, depending on your skill ability and a little luck. Its easy to make mistakes on certain levels, and most of this video makes the game look almost too easy - but I found the difficulty curve to be just perfect - and a gradual increase without ever becoming too hard to be fun. I'd say this falls a little short of being an all-time classic, but I feel its a gem, and definitely has bags of character. To give this a 6.5 is too mean, while a 7 is slightly a stretch, so I give it 6.8. :)
