742Do you like monster trucks? No, that's a silly question, everyone loves monster trucks. Do you like destroying monster trucks? Another silly question, that's like asking if you like eating delicious food. Well, here, you'll get both (monster trucks and destroying them, not the delicious food part unfortunately) here with Monster Trucks Attack.
With a name like Monster Trucks Attack, you'd assume that the game would be another truck racing game or something. Instead, it's something completely different and a whole lot more fun. You control the hand of a malevolent monster truck hating, all-powerful, deity (well, not really a deity, but close enough) and use your abilities to smash everything into crushed metal.
The graphics of the game are simple enough, vector graphics with a nicely drawn background. This game doesn't need to rely on fancy-shmancy graphics to get by, but it neverthe4less still has graphics easily at par with other online games. The trucks are all drawn well enough, and while they may repeat through a level, they are different enough to not become too tedious or boring. The levels are fairly simple, you won't see much in the way of fine detail or amazing variety, but as aforementioned, it's not really needed.
The sounds here are decent, with the different abilities having their own unique sounds. The explosions of the trucks are also extremely satisfying, with the crunch of metal and the smashing of tires sounding not unlike an orchestra of destructive music. This is especially evident in later levels, when you get more trucks swarming in than a Mongol horde and the explosions start coming in one after the other in an almost never-ending stream of shattered metal.
The controls are simple enough, most of the game is controlled with your mouse. At first, you simply click on trucks to pick them up and throw them. You can lift them and smash them into the ground or you can hurl them off screen to prevent them from advancing across the level. Later on, you'll get other weapons like falling rocks, shotgun shells, ACME style bombs, and lightning bolts from the heavens.
It'll take you some time to get all of those upgrades though, as each can only be unlocked by purchasing them, and to get the money to purchase them, you'll need to do quite a lot of truck smashing first. Still, it's great fun and it shouldn't be much of a chore to get through enough waves of trucks to unlock everything. It's certainly worth it to be able to see the carnage a nuke can unleash.
All in all, Monster Trucks Attack is a great game for getting rid of some stress. You'll be able to simply unleash your inner madman and go crazy with destroying truck after truck after truck. Enjoy!
