Today marks Round 8 of the Middle of the Pack Racing League (MPRL) Radical Eurotrip Championship for 2023 as brought to you on iRacing! We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which occurred on Wednesday 1st November, bringing it to you as if it were live!
It is time for us to conclude the Central Cup, and what better way to do so than at the legendary French circuit of Le Mans? Known in full as the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans in reference to the 24-hour endurance race which celebrated its centenary this year, the 8.46 mile course is an unrelenting test of driver and mechanical endurance. With its wide range of chicanes; sweepers; hairpins; and extended straights, there is no aspect of our drivers’ abilities that will not be pushed to the limit here as they pursue victory!
In the PRO class, in securing his first win of the season at the Hungaroring, Peter Lo has moved into the lead by eight points over James Logsdon. Could this be the moment for Lo to make his break at the top? Or will his rivals reel him back into the mix?
In the PRO-AM class, despite a degree of mixed fortunes last round in his pursuit for the third spot on the podium, Illya Spiecker has extended his advantage to 49 points over race winner Charles Hosea. Will today be another round of uphill battling for Spiecker?
In the AM class, in securing his second win in a row in Hungary in dominant fashion, Samuel Bernardy seems to have taken control of the championship. Leading by 15 points over Jay R Davis, can anyone stop Bernardy from breaking away at the top of the standings?
