Today marks Round 12 of the Middle of the Pack Racing League (MPRL) Radical Eurotrip Championship for 2023 as brought to you on iRacing! We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which occurred on Wednesday 6th December, bringing it to you as if it were live!
It is time for the final round of the season, and with it the conclusion of the Southern Cup. Playing host is the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, a 3.05 mile Italian circuit which is more commonly referred to as “Imola” in reference to the local city. Known best for its extensive set of chicanes which contrast strongly with its extended straights, it is a circuit where being confident under braking and maximising your time at full throttle are critical to success. Question is, who shall master this art and take the final win of the season?
In the PRO class, three points separate the championship contenders Peter Lo and Jason Landry. Lo leads by the slender margin; and with both drivers knowing that only perfection shall be good enough to take the crown, we are undoubtedly set for a thrilling conclusion!
In the PRO-AM class, with Illya Spiecker taking the championship at Jerez, attention turns to the fight for second between Charles Hosea and Avonn Dorsey. Hosea holds a 12 point lead, but will not take anything for granted given Dorsey’s recent performances!
In the AM class, Samuel Bernardy has been crowned champion as of last round meaning it is now all about who will finish second and third. Kevin Manning looks set for second, but who out of Ian Hennebery; Tim Chong; and Glen Bratton shall take third?
