Today marks Round 10 of the Middle of the Pack Racing League (MPRL) Radical Eurotrip Championship for 2023 as brought to you on iRacing! We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which occurred on Wednesday 22nd November, bringing it to you as if it were live!
In this round our drivers remain in Spain and head northeast for MotorLand Aragón. Opened in 2009, the course's 3.06 mile "Outer" layout is a highly complex circuit with 14 corners which are unrelenting in the technical test they present. With sweepers; chicanes; and hairpins in close proximity to each other, recording a single smooth lap can be tiring even for the most professional of drivers meaning mistakes can come hard and fast. Indeed, victory here will be just as much about keeping the car on circuit as it will be outright pace!
In the PRO class, following a phenomenal recovery drive to finish on the podium at Barcelona, Jason Landry has returned to the lead by a single point over Peter Lo. However, with Lo off the pace last round, he will be keen to make sure Landry’s lead is short-lived!
In the PRO-AM class, in storming to another win last week, Illya Spiecker now sits 68 points clear of his rivals and is rapidly closing in on taking the crown. Can he secure another win today and give himself the chance to wrap things up at Jerez?
In the AM class, Samuel Bernardy continues to pull away with his fourth win in-a-row last round increasing his lead to 32 points. Jay R Davis sits in second, but with only four points separating him; Kevin Manning; and Tim Chong, the fight is on for the second spot!
