You have to work quickly after Veil of Mist's required animation time is over, or the 8th Power Slash will not combo with the soonest-following Standing Forward H.

In competitive play, yes, the beginning of this combo is easily avoidable. While you might not be able to get all 8 Power Slash L out, if you happen to catch your opponent with at least one at a certain time of the Veil of Mist effect, you can finish this combo in the same fashion.

After Crouching H, you'll need to time your hits for the following "Standing Forward H, H, H, H, H" sequence to continue this combo.
