Superliminal Review
In this game, when you pick up an object, you gain the power to change its size. You just have to alter how you see it.
To me, this game is sort of like Portal crossed with Stanley Parable.
The puzzles are very different - but all the out of the box thinking that’s required - it reminds me so much of playing Portal.
And there’s just something about the vibe (maybe it’s the setting or the narrative structure) but it really reminds me of the Stanley Parable.
But the core concept – this game’s gimmick - it’s very unique.
You solve puzzles by playing with forced perspective. It's kind of hard to describe, but when you see it in action, it makes total sense.
Coming up with solutions is extremely satisfying. It makes you feel smart – like you’re cheating the system – even though you’re probably doing exactly what the developers expected you to do.
The game is called Superliminal, and you can play it pretty much everywhere. But it’s also on Game Pass.
In fact, thanks to support from Xbox, I’m now a PC Game Pass Partner, and Superliminal was the first game I played using the service!
If you like puzzle games, Superliminal is one that you absolutely need to experience. It doesn’t take that long to play through, so it’s a great palate cleanser game!
