This game needs no introduction - one of the biggest arcade coin-op hits of all time got a surprisingly good port to the C64.

I got a copy of the game with the C64 lightgun pack, but here I am forced to use the joystick to control the game; this turns out to be it's one failing. The crosshair is extremely difficult to control with the joystick and it has a kind of pseudo-momentum so it actually speeds up the longer you push in a particular direction. Coupled with the fact that you have to be very precise with where you shoot the enemies to actually register a hit, the game can be frustrating and is extremely tough.

For those who are wondering, yes, this is a VERY tool-assisted longplay...

Shortcomings aside, it's difficult to play the game and not be impressed with how faithful it is to the arcade game.

The game loops after you complete the mission.
