OSSC Compatibility Test with NTSC Super Nintendo Showcase - Part 1 [UHD 4K60]
Randomised Gaming presents an in depth test of the open source scan converter in this video we look at over 20 different titles and also see how the Super Gameboy 2 fairs with it. This video is captured from original games and a 2 chips NTSC North Amercian system with a mix of USA SNES and Japanese SFC games. A large number of late Super Nintendo / Super Famicom are shown to really test the system.
This video was captured using the Line 2x mode of the OSSC over an RGB Scart lead. Then upscaled to 4K for high quality results, so you can see as close to the really playback as possible for this reason if able to we suggest viewing at 1440p or above. The Super Nintendo largely output at 240p, will will cover interlaced games in the PAL video that will follow and on other systems. As the interlace support on the OSSC isn't as strong as the progressive support.
Sady due to an export issue we have had to split the video and we do mean chop the video in half, so the second part will be released at the same time and there is some brief overlap at the start of the second part. Our editor Random Gamer Riven is your guide and host to this video.
