OutRun / アウトラン - Sega Saturn - Arcade course A, playthrough / longplay & arranged OST [4K60]
Full gameplay longplay / playthrough / walkthrough / trueplay of the beautiful Japanese Sega Saturn version of Out Run with the exclusive soundtrack to this arcade perfect port. This is the arranged version of Passing Breeze using the Japanese track layout. Seeing as we covered OutRun 2 last week Randomised Gaming decided to go back to the original. A game made all the more iconic thanks to the red Ferrari it puts you behind the wheel of.
It's a far tougher game than the sequel, but even now still looks amazing despite its age. OutRun was developed in 1986 and is one of the finest games Yu Suzuki and Sega AM2 ever made. This Japanese Saturn version was released in 1996 as part of the Sega Ages range and is a fan's dream, the first truly arcade perfect version. It not only included both the Japan and Overseas version of the track layout, but also features a fully arranged soundtrack.
Be warned, however, the first print run didn't work on Model 2 Saturn's, so a bug fixed version was released with a CD Matrix of GS-9110P-01050A with the version number of 1.102. This is the version you see running in the video. Fore more information see Satakore: https://www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-game,,GS-9110,,OutRun-JPN.html
The western port was sadly somewhat messed up in the Sega Ages Volume 1 version with added bugs and audio tracks missing as too was the arranged soundtrack. That version is best avoided all round.
