Nights into Dreams - Sega Saturn - Intro & Spring Valley, Splash Garden Gameplay widescreen [4K60]
8Gameplay sample of the first world for both Claris and Elliot in widescreen mode to showcase the Sega Saturn classic Nights into Dreams... Captured this and more footage for another video, but decided to do a short gameplay showcase. Only the Nights intro is shown in this video, Nights is also a rare Saturn title to support a form of widescreen. There's a slight pause in the second boss battle, which we edited out but you can still brief see. Oddly enough as a result we found out that the game doesn't pause for the first few frames the pause word is shown on screen.
Nights is a truly unique title and no doubt most viewers will have heard of this classic. Best described as a flying game crossed with a racing title. It remains a true showcase of the power of Sega Saturn with great graphics and fast gameplay. Certainly it would feature on Randomised Gaming list of top 100 games of all time.
The links system ensures score junkies can replay stages for hours on end try to improve their flight performance. Designed for use with the Saturn's 3D Control Pad the standard pad can be a bit sore of the old thumbs. While ported to other systems the later PlayStation 2 version, just doesn't feel as smooth as the Saturn version. Will save any more discussion of this classic title for another day.

The original Saturn port of Nights into Dreams... isn't available on any other system, however a HD port was released on PlayStation 2 and later ported to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
