What's going on with the colours of our Super Famicom, anyone seen this before?
Not an official video as such, recently our Japanese Super Famicom (Super Nintendo/SNES for the rest of the world ) unit started showing incorrect colours. It's an early model from 1990 and right now has a whole new colour look to it. Graphic aren't corrupted, it's just the SFC is using the wrong palette, which suggests an issue with the decode on the system.
Having taken it apart and cleaned the system, we haven't being able to identify the problem so far, doesn't appear to be any sign of damage trace. Which mainly suggests dry solder as the cause or the internal failure of one of the chips.
If you've seen this problem before and have an idea of a fix please do comment below, as we would like to fix the unit if possible.
