With Shy Guys invading Toad Town, the next thing to do is access Shy Guy's Toy Box, for most of this video, it is about collecting Star Pieces now that Mario can use the Spin Jump, and going around various places to find as many Star Pieces as possible.

I don't make any progress in this part of the video, all I do is some sidequests and collect Star Pieces. There is technically progress, when you enter the western part of Toad Town, Twink shows up and tells you the next Star Spirit is in Shy Guy's Toy Box.
The first thing I do in this video is the Koopa Koot sidequest, the ones that are unlocked after Chapter 3, his first request is to read the sign near Merlon's house in Toad Town from both sides, and you get 1 coin for it. The next request is to give a Life Shroom to Koopa Koot, you can buy a Life Shroom from Igor's Shop in Boo's Mansion, and you get 1 coin for that, as well as a Gold Credit. The next one is to make a Nutty Cake, which you can get if you give a Goomnut to Tayce T., so unless you made one before this chapter, because right now we cannot cook with Tayce T. because a Shy Guy stole her frying pan. You can get Goomnuts in the tree in Goomba Village, and you can give the Nutty Cake to Koopa Koot, and you get 1 coin.
While collecting Star Pieces, when you check the veranda where you first met Goompa, you can get a Shooting Star, this deals 6 damage to all enemies, so it's Star Storm, but deals 1 less damage and it doesn't use Star Power. I even do the letter chain quest, and this does stop around there, because you cannot visit Yoshi's Village until Chapter 5.
I then check out the Playroom, and with the Gold Credit, you can play Smash Attack, you have to hammer the boxes and get 10 Peach Panels, if you get a Fuzzy, keep pressing A to get it off Mario, and Bob-ombs blow up, and you lose 1 second of your time, and you can get a lot of coins if you succeed, which as this is the Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online version, you can use save states to get the best reward.
When you enter Harry's Shop, a Shy Guy steals the key to the storage room, and I do show the sidequest for Club 64, talk to the Master Poet, and he tells you to find the Composer, he is at Dry Dry Outpost, and I did remember Goompa's letter, it is in the tree where Kolorado's Camp used to be. Show the Lyrics to the Composer, and you will receive the Melody, give it to the Master Poet, and this will allow the Pop Diva to sing, and your reward is the Attack FX D Badge, which makes a bell sound when you attack.
