Here is the third clone character on the roster, and it is Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening, she is a clone of Marth, and unlike Roy in Melee where his moves were identical, but different, Lucina has the exact same moves as Marth. While both Lucina and Marth have the same moves, Lucina's sword does not have a sweetspot, so they deal the same damage, while Marth's blade deals more damage at the tip, making Lucina a more easy character to use than Marth.
Lucina is the only unlockable character in this game to be revealed before the release of the game, she was revealed alongside Robin and Captain Falcon, but she is not the first unlockable character to be revealed before the game came out, Snake and Sonic were revealed before the release of Brawl, and they are unlockable characters in that game. To unlock Lucina in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, you have to complete Classic Mode with Marth, the same way you would unlock Roy in Melee, or play 40 Vs Matches, and for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Lucina is unlocked by completing Classic Mode on Intensity 5.5 or higher or play 30 Vs Matches.
Going over Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight characters in their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight characters in their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and in the final round, you fight Master Hand, and on Intensity 3.0 or higher, you fight Crazy Hand as well, and on Intensity 5.0 or higher, you fight against Master Core.
Is there any reason to go over Lucina's custom moves if she has the exact same moves as Marth? I might as well if this is the only game in the Smash Bros. series to have custom moves, starting with Shield Breaker, it's the same move, except the difference is Lucina's blade does not have a sweetspot, the first custom variant is Storm Thrust, which creates a gust of wind that pushes opponents back, and the other variant is Dashing Assault, where Lucina dashes forward, but it deals less damage. Then Dancing Blade, which as I explained back when I did Classic Mode with Marth where it is a tricky move to use, but it was made easier to use in Ultimate, the first custom move for Lucina's side special is Effortless Blade, which deals lower damage and it only allows forward swings, and Heavy Blade deals more damage and knockback, the hits are slower and it cannot be used as a combo due to the knockback of that move. Lucina's up special is Dolphin Slash, which has less height than Marth's up special, likely to make up for Lucina being able to jump higher than Marth, the first custom variant is Crescent Slash, it deals more damage at the midway point, but it has less height, and Dolphin Jump is the other variant, Lucina jumps higher, but it does not deal damage. The down special is Counter, the first variant of that move is Easy Counter, which deals less damage, the counter stance lasts longer than usual, the other variant is Iai Counter, or Rush Counter in Europe, which is faster and knocks opponents backwards, it deals less damage than normal.
