I show off some optional stuff that you can do after completing Chapter 1, which includes taking requests from Koopa Koot, and I show off the Toad Town Dojo, where you can take on the students of the dojo, which shouldn't be too difficult, the Master is a very tricky foe, and we go to the southern part of Toad Town, which was previously not accessible.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This video just shows a bunch of stuff that is completely optional, it is not required in the main story, the first thing I show is Koopa Koot's request, his house is the one on the rightmost side of Koopa Village, it's next to Kooper's house. The first request is to give him the book Koopa Legends, talk to Kolorado's wife, she is at Kolorado's house, and she gives you the book, which you give to Koopa Koot, and you earn 1 coin. The next request is to give him a Sleepy Sheep, which you can buy from Shroom Grocery in Toad Town, and your reward is a Silver Credit, which gives you access to the Playroom.
Then for requests unlocked after completing Chapter 1, go to Goomba Village, talk to Goompa, he gives you a Tape, then give it to Koopa Koot, and your reward is 1 coin. Next request is a cup of Koopa Tea, which you get if you give a Koopa Leaf to Tayce T., you can find a Koopa Leaf in Koopa Village, and your reward for that is 3 Star Pieces, and the next one is getting Luigi's autograph, Luigi is at the Mario Bros. House, talk to him to receive the autograph, and your reward is 1 coin.
Then I show the Toad Town Dojo, this is optional, but you do get good rewards for participating, talk to the Master of the Toad Town Dojo, and you have to fight his students, the first one is Chan, a Buzzy Beetle, and he is super easy, just flip him over and you are done. He has 15 HP, and as he is a Buzzy Beetle, he is resistant to fire and explosions, and he has a Defense of 2. The other student is Lee, he is a Duplighost, which is an enemy type which we will not encounter until way later in the game, and he will copy Mario's partners, for example, if he copies Kooper, you can flip him on his back like a normal Koopa Troopa when you jump on him, and he is really tough as he has 20 HP, and his regular attack deals 5 damage. After beating his students, you can fight the Master if you want, but I would recommend waiting until later in the game, he has 50 HP and he is really tough.
Then I check out the western part of Toad Town, and there are some characters we meet there, one of them is Chet Rippo, for 39 coins, you can pay him to upgrade your stats by two levels, but there is a downside to it, whichever stat you choose, he downgrades two of your stats by one level, so don't use him for upgrading stats. There is Harry's Shop, and he has some good items, there is the Stone Cap, which turns Mario to stone, and he becomes invincible for a short time, the Dizzy Dial, which makes enemies dizzy, the Thunder Rage, which hits all opponents for 5 damage, making it a good item to get, the Tasty Tonic, which cures poison, the Volt Shroom, which electrifies Mario, and when in effect, enemies will take damage when they attack Mario directly, and the Super Shroom, which heals 10 HP. West of that is the Fishing Port, and Club 64, which does have a sidequest in a later chapter.
There is the southernmost part of Toad Town, which is where we have to go to in order to get to Mt. Rugged, but before then, there are some things to check out. There is the Li'l Oinks, where you can pay coins and hit the egg to hatch them, and up to 10 Li'l Oinks can be on the farm at once, when an 11th shows up, one of them leaves, and it does leave behind an item, rarer Li'l Oinks can drop even rarer items, like the Ultra Shroom, which heals 50 HP, and the Jammin' Jelly, which heals 50 FP.
There is the Playroom, and with the Silver Credit you got from Koopa Koot, you can play Jump Attack, where you can choose to play 5-Block Option, 7-Block Option, or 9-Block Option, and as I am using Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, I can use save states, while this can be a good way to grind money, it is luck dependant, as you can multiply your coins by 5, if you get Bowser, the game ends, and you don't win any coins, and you can win up to 950 coins if you get really lucky, or on the Nintendo Switch Online version, use save states to get a win.
Before setting off to Mt. Rugged, I highly recommend buying D-Down Pound from Rowf, because this ignores enemy Defense, and there are some enemies you face at Mt. Rugged which have very high Defense.
