PCG Geometry Decals - Quick Demo
Today I've used a tool that felt a bit like magic in Unreal Engine: PCG Geometry Decals uses flat textures with proxy meshes that automatically conform themselves to the landscape, adding high-res detail without the overhead of using foliage tools or static meshes.
When used together with Mesh Blend, it's the ultimate level building tool for me! I've made this video for my boss this morning and narrated over it to add a bit more explanation of what I'm doing there. I'll make a longer video soon with setup and usage instructions (also with better audio quality 😄 ).
