Pearl murdering Pyrope and Prism feat. Peridot (Steven Universe: Unleash the Light)
So like I said, Pearl is a little OP. I don't even remember when she got so strong but she hits ridiculous numbers with the right upgrades and equipment. Her 3 SP melee attack seems kind of expensive and you need to be good at hitting Perfects / Criticals but if you can, it's very worthwhile, making other melee attacks look bad by comparison.
Trident toss, meanwhile, is kind of ridiculous. On paper it seems about equal to Bismuth's hammer strike (also 2 SP, also lowers defense, but can hit multiple enemies and has an easier QTE mini-game) but because it's restricted to single enemies, trident toss seems a bit worse. It is not actually worse for being single target. Actually, there are some bosses (Squaribot, and this one) where Bismuth's collateral damage is a liability. The trident doesn't have that problem AND it can be upgraded to inflict DoT's. Combine it with the Firesalt item and you can inflict two DoT's at once (which I do to great effect here). It can also hit air enemies, which is a nice bonus.
Even the javelin toss is nice in some situations. It is hard to aim and kind of redundant for air enemies when trident toss exists, but in situations where you can hit three or more enemies at once you basically get to use it twice for no extra cost. I think the only attack that was disappointing is Holo Pearl. It was definitely more useful in the previous game (Save the Light allowed you to interrupt enemy attacks and Holo Pearl was very good for that).
Basically, Pearl just hits really hard. Considering that Prism Pearl was the most dangerous of the Prism copies of the Crystal Gems, it's probably very intentional.
I have nothing to say about Hessonite other than "Hessonite is mandatory for the Prism fight" (I tried, you can't remove her at all). She doesn't seem to be playable outside of this fight, but knowing that this game is still getting new updates, maybe she'll become playable in the future.
