Another really annoying boss. This one actually isn't as bad as the Malignut Eater's Shadow but it shares one similar problem: it's stupidly bulky for the type of boss it's supposed to be.

What this boss should be is fast and evasive but with paper thin defenses to compensate. Instead, this boss is fast, evasive AND extremely bulky, which makes fighting this boss extra irritating because even if you've found a character that can actually punch through their stupidly high defenses, your character STILL has to contend with their evasion. It's extremely annoying.

While Patchy was able to rely on the SDM synergy for an accuracy boost, in my other run of this fight (without the other SDM characters) I had to use Royal Flare for its ACC boost. Patchy is one of the lucky ones; characters who aren't lucky enough to have ACC modifiers or synergy skills basically get to decide whether accuracy or (slightly) bigger damage with a chance to miss is better and you can imagine how fun that is.

The actual strategy is extremely basic. Start with the SDM, have Reimu buff on the first turn, become self-sufficient and then bring in Patchouli to Concentrate and attack until the boss is dead. Like I said, basic. The only thing interesting here is that Patchouli can go full Gambler and not have to worry about damage from the bosses AOE's. It's pretty neat, just remember to upgrade Patchy's MND and HP if you haven't already, and make sure you cure PSN with Meiling when it happens.
