While I did cheese this fight with DoT's, I also went back and used the Back Up Crystal Gems for this fight. In this boss fight, killing each member of the Prism Gems powers up the remaining characters:

-Pearl will give all the characters an ATK Boost
-Steven will give all the characters a DEF Boost
-Amethyst will give all characters a second turn
-Garnet will give all characters the ability to inflict burn

Of these characters, Garnet is the easiest to kill last since she can only hit 1 target at time. Pearl is the most dangerous at the start (due to her absurd damage) and Amethyst is the most dangerous to kill last (with all the upgrades, Prism Amethyst can hit your entire party four times, and while also inflicting an equal amount of burn damage). I never killed Steven last but he's probably really annoying to fight just because of the double heals.

Peridot: She is pretty okay. I admit that I didn't upgrade her enough, but her robot gimmick isn't bad. Self-Destruct is a bit too impractical at 4SP (it's very hard to keep all 4 alive), but the robots can provide extra defense to all your characters for just 1 SP per character. If you pair Peridot with Pearl and get Pearl's second costume (which lets her formation change 2 times) you can easily set four of her bots in one turn. In this fight, Amethyst's whip can hit multiple characters, and this makes Peridot's perfect counter skill (which allows all the robots to fire extra times) very useful but it's not practical most of the time since Peridot isn't very tanky.
