In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be using Pikeman with a Dash Items focused strategy! Pikeman is the premier dash focused character in Skul, and extremely fun and powerful. He's one of the only non-power skulls with a dash that also deals damage, and unlike tackle dashers he can dash twice, so this opens up a lot of powerful strategies for Pikeman, and lets him abuse powerful items like Stigma Leg and Mane of the Beast King unlike any other. Pikeman also recently got changed to have his basic attack past Rare to remain a spammable, generic basic attack whereas before it would send him flying forwards like a dash, but made it impossible to build around in the usual ways. This allows him to do Basic Attack Item focused builds a lot easier. However, today's run will be built in the usual Pikeman fashion: Dash Items! Dash Items is one of my favorite builds in Skul, and in my opinion is the dark horse for top three item damage builds in the game. There are many powerful items centered around dashing to activate them, and many of them are in the rare rarity, which means you can very consistently build a good run with Dash Items. Recently in the 1.9.1 patch the item Sylphid Wings was changed from Heritage/Soar to Chase/Soar, and this makes it easier to get to the Chase 4 inscription requirement to make Dash Items really pop, so now you have more room on your build for damage% scaling than before, a welcome change. We are lucky enough to get not just one Sylphid Wings on this run, but TWO! So, Chase focused builds which were already good are now eating even better than ever, and that's what we want to capitalize on. So, that's the idea for today's run, Pikeman with Dash Items as our focus! Joined by a support Rider, can we use our newfound wings to soar to greatness?
