In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using Archlich with an Ability Spam Items focus! Archlich is a really cool character that doesn't even necessarily fill any strong niches, but is solid in so many categories that he still stands out as fun and powerful. Archlich's main gimmick is that whenever you're out playing as him he has a passive meter that slowly fills up, and when full allows him to cast Deathtrap, a very powerful ability. Archlich used to have this as a skill that he was always guaranteed to have, much like Rider's bike, but was nerfed in 1.4. Many old Skul players still kinda resent Archlich for this, but he's still very powerful thanks to the new tools he got. Prison of the Damned is easily one of the more powerful skills in Skul, casting a big DoT area that continuously damages enemies inside of it as well as trapping them with Slowness, which allows Lich to control the flow of the fight very easily. You can even stack Prison of the Damned with Infinite Bone to apply giga slowness to the enemy, and that's what we'll be doing today! Infinite Bone got buffed in the most recent patch, and jumped from zero to hero for me. It went from a 30% to a 40% chance to allow you to instantly reset a skill's cooldown, and this especially on some of the skills that are powerful, but balanced out by having massive cooldowns allows you to run rampant. Prison of the Damned is one of those skills, but even not considering that use for Infinite Bone it becomes quite busted with Ability Spam Items, the archetype centered around items that activate when casting skills, since obviously the more skills you cast the more damage the items do, and that's ultimately our strategy for today! Ability Spam Items and Archlich, a beautiful combo. Joined by (an emotional support) Officer, can Archlich leap back into action after a brief hiatus and show how powerful he is?
