I need to make space for all the new machinery. I finish adding a new base foundation and add the compact armory on top. A compact armory can be used to upgrade and strengthen usable items such as the jet pack, suit, multi-tool, weapons, and more. But all these upgrades come at a cost! I'll need to round up some more resources before going too crazy with upgrades.
Taking a closer look at my surroundings, I locate a body of water nearby so I can keep my thirst at bay. However, I can't continue to drink dirty water without getting sick and losing food points. If only there was some magical device to help me clean the water. Turns out, there is! The compact FAD machine does just that. Using a recipe of dirty water and herbs, the FAD machine processes the dirty water into clean water. It can also produce electrolytes water, nutrients capsules, and super food.
Excited as the prospects of clean water, I decide to stockpile for a rainy day by heading to the nearby water source. A quick experiment reveals that I can carry 20 bottles of dirty water in one inventory slot. Now it's just a matter of getting back to base and purifying the collection.
