Can I take what I've learned from Planet Nomads Creative Mode and apply it to Survival Mode? Perhaps. But first I'll need to learn the basics on just how to survive before I can go start crafting items and building new things. Like Create Mode, Survival Mode starts me off at my sleeping pod that has crash landed down to the planet. A few tutorial screens provide instructions for interacting with different objects in the environment. Collecting food and water are necessary, as with many survival games. Food can be found by locating trees and plants surrounded by fireflies. Water can be collected from any body of water found on the planet. But beware, it is dirty water and drinking it causes loss of hunger, perhaps from vomiting. It soon becomes a balancing act to maintain a healthy hunger to thirst ratio in the vitals. Mining rocks and trees proves to be a plentiful idea for resources.
While wandering around to gather resources, I find various animals in the Planet Nomads kingdom. Perhaps a hint from reading online shows that each species might protect a certain type of resource. Maybe it's a rare or uncommon item. Collecting them does prove to be a challenge, especially when getting bucked in the body by a horse-like animal or having a giant boulder thrown at you from a hulked out alien. One thing is for certain, some animals are not to be underestimated.
