Planet Nomads Gameplay Alpha - Lighting the Base - Building/Creative Mode [Part 2]
9Base building continues in this Planet Nomads gameplay (alpha) where I add lighting to the interior with the help of a bio generator. But first, I complete the ceiling. Then, let's clean up some rough edges.

Picking up where Part 1 left off, I try out the ramps by adding them to the front of the building to ease entry through the doorways. Then it's off to learning about electricity and how to hook it up to various items. First, I make an attempt to connect electricity from a bio generator to one of my doors so that it will open automatically. No such luck in this early alpha edition, though it's worth clicking around in the sub menu of the doors and generator to see the different options that can be executed. The doors, for example, can be operated manually and even given a name, perhaps in a future update.
It's time to put a roof on the building. And just in time too as we get our first glimpse at the weather as droplets of rain begin to fall as I place the ceiling tiles. I also play around with interior lights and ceiling lights and have better luck getting them to cooperate with the bio generator. However, I get lucky by placing the generator on the roof and connecting it to the door. Then I'm able to use the automatic open feature.
I clean up the back entrance to the building by clearing out some terrain and adding a walkway out of ceiling tiles. It also proves to be a great time to try out the fence and stairs items as well.
