After visiting Celestic Town and giving the Old Charm to Cynthia's grandmother, I can now take on Fantina at the Hearthome City Gym. This Gym specializes in Ghost-type Pokémon, and there are three doors you have to take, one of them is the correct one, the other two have Trainers in them, and this does test your maths knowledge.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This part is where I finally take on Hearthome Gym, as Fantina is now back. This Gym has you taking an elevating platform, and read the sign, which will give you a maths question, and as for the order of which rooms to enter, the correct answers are Right, Middle, Left, and then Right, you can use the Calculator App on your Pokétch to solve the answers, and if you enter the wrong door, you get to battle a Trainer, and one thing very important, there are two Trainers in this Gym you will want to fight, one is a Picnicker, and another is a School Girl, and they are the only Trainers in the game that use Drifloon, if you skip all the Trainers, the only other way to see Drifloon for your Pokédex is at the Valley Windworks every Friday, this is very important if you want to see every Pokémon for your Pokédex.
As the Trainers use Ghost-type Pokémon, Dark and Ghost-type moves are good against them, so moves like Shadow Ball, Crunch, Night Slash, and many others are good. Brilliant Diamond players have access to Murkrow and Skuntank, but there are some Pokémon that can learn Bite or Crunch, like Luxray, Bibarel, or Torterra, or you can use Psychic-types against the Gastly line, which are part Poison, and an Electric or Rock-type against the Drifloon line, which are part Flying.
Once all the correct answers are found, Fantina is waiting at the end, here is her team, and in Platinum, Fantina was the third Gym Leader you would fight, but in this game, she is the fifth.
Drifblim: Strength Sap, Hex, Fly, Will-O-Wisp (Zoom Lens)
Gengar: Shadow Claw, Confuse Ray, Sludge Bomb, Dazzling Gleam (Colbur Berry)
Mismagius: Confuse Ray, Phantom Force, Magical Leaf, Dazzling Gleam (Expert Belt)

In Platinum, Fantina's team was Duskull, Haunter, and Mismagius, but this is Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, so there is no reason to go over her fight in Platinum. Her Drifblim can be really annoying to deal with, it has a Zoom Lens to increase the accuracy of its moves if it moves last, so it will ensure Will-O-Wisp connects, this doubles the power of Hex if your Pokémon is burned from Will-O-Wisp, and it has Strength Sap to restore its HP based on your Pokémon's Attack stat, so Luxray users have to be wary of that. I recommend using Special Attacks against Drifblim, because Strength Sap weakens Physical Attackers. Her Gengar has a Colbur Berry to reduce damage from Dark-type moves, and it Dazzling Gleam to counter Dark-type Pokémon, if you have Skuntank, which is part Poison-type, it will take neutral damage from Dazzling Gleam. For some reason it has Shadow Claw, despite Gengar having a much higher Special Attack stat than Attack, and it can use Confuse Ray, and Gengar is very likely to use it right away.
Her final Pokémon is Mismagius, this one has almost identical moves to Gengar, but it has an Expert Belt so that Dazzling Gleam deals huge damage against any Dark-type Pokémon you use against her, this can be a really tricky fight if you have to deal with that Confuse Ray. Magical Leaf can really hurt any Water or Ground-type Pokémon you have, and while Phantom Force is a questionable choice, because like Gengar, Mismagius has a lower Attack stat than Special Attack, you can switch in a Normal-type Pokémon on the turn it attacks with Phantom Force.
After beating Fantina, she gives you the Relic Badge, some Stickers, and TMs for Shadow Claw, a Ghost-type move that can work as a good coverage option with any Pokémon you have, some good users are Infernape, Ambipom, Golduck, Heracross, and many others.
When you leave the Gym, Cynthia will be waiting outside, and she will talk about Team Galactic and some things back at Celestic Town, and your next destination is Canalave City, and you can now use Surf outside of battle, so there will be a lot of exploring around the Sinnoh region before going to Canalave City.
