2I only picked a Lonely or Naughty Charmander with an Attack -, Special Attack and Speed stat of 12. The first rival battle went easy. Altough if Squirtle uses too many Tail Whips, I could be in trouble. I went through Route 1 with only 1 wild encounter, while I would like to have 2. I wanted Charmander to be from L7 so it learns Ember. I returned to the lab with the parcel and received the Pokédex. I battled another wild Pokémon to reach L7 because of reasons explained above.
