0The 2 switches were positioned in a rather annoyed way, but I pulled it off. I used the X-Attack I picked up in the SS Anne during the Lt. Surge battle. This way I can OHKO Voltorb with Mega Punch and Raichu with Mega Kick. Pikachu is defeated by Ember. I also wasn't paralyzed during this battle, which is a good thing.
I returned to Cerulean and received my Bicycle. I battled 2 trainers going through Route 9. Luckily, they were all weak to Charmeleon's Ember. I also picked up a hidden Rare Candy. I got the idea of teaching Rattata Dig here, so I won't need to buy Escape Ropes. I saved at the point I entered the Rock Tunnel.
