0I zoomed past Route 1, Pallet Town, Route 21 and Cinnabar while dodging all trainers. There is one required trainer in Route 20, but she has a simple Bidoof. Then I battle 3 trainers in the Seafoam Gym. I used Earthquake on the Pokémon with Flame Body to avoid being burned. I wasn't sure about the Magcargo's, but I took no risks. Then I used my Race Candies to power up Feraligatr.
Blaine is very easy. I OHKO all his Pokémon with Waterfall and Earthquake. Then I flew back to Cinnabar and talked to Blue. He went back to his Gym and I followed him. The Gym has sliding puzzles, but by taking the red ones, you can avoid all the trainers here. I taught Feraligatr Rock Slide to make both the battles with Blue and Red slightly easier. Then I saved right in front of Blue.
