I am now showing the long route from Lavender Town to Fuchsia City, and it is finally time for my Growlithe to evolve into Arcanine, because I have waited until Flare Blitz, and the time has come. Other than that, there are a lot of Trainers from Route 12 to Route 15, but I am splitting the long route in two parts.

As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.

I not only evolve Growlithe, but also show that you can ride Gyarados while using Sea Skim on Route 12. There are some new encounters on this route.
About Meltan in the previous part where I said in the description that you can catch 10 Meltan when you use a Mystery Box. Now you can catch about 20 Meltan when you use the Mystery Box, it's just at the time I recorded the previous video, you can only get up to 10 Meltan then.
Through Sea Skim, first up is Tentacool, which is in every sea route, and a 5% encounter with Tentacruel. When caught, Tentacool will know Surf and Barrier, it has good Special Defense and decent Speed. When caught as a Tentacruel, it will not have Barrier until Level 36. It can learn Poison Jab at Level 46, and it isn't until Level 65 that it learns Hydro Pump. Tentacruel is compatible with many TM moves, like Scald, Mega Drain and Ice Beam. It is a great Special wall if you are looking for a good Water/Poison-type to add to your team.
Next up is Horsea and its evolved form Seadra. When caught, Horsea will know Waterfall and Focus Energy, and can be taught Scald through TM. It will know Dragon Pulse as a Horsea at Level 36, but as a Seadra, it will not learn it until Level 42. Seadra is a decent Pokémon, but not the best option, and because you can't get Kingdra in this game, this does limit Seadra's usability. It has good Speed and Special Attack, as well as balanced stats, so it is more of an average Water-type.
While you can find Gloom/Weepinbell and Kingler in the grass, there is one new encounter, and that is Farfetch'd. There is only one thing that I will say about Farfetch'd, do not use it, there are way better options out there, you even get Pidgeotto on the same routes as Farfetch'd, and if caught at Level 35 or above, you can evolve it into Pidgeot right away, so there is no point in using Farfetch'd.
There are some interesting TMs that you can pick up, first up is X-Scissor, which requires Sea Skim, that can be taught to many Pokémon, like Parasect, Sandslash, Kingler and a few others. From Mr. Dazzling at his house, he will give you the TM for Dazzling Gleam, a Special Fairy-type move that you can teach to Mr. Mime or Wigglytuff, but other Pokémon like Alakazam, Gengar and Vileplume can use it for type coverage. There is also a Coach Trainer who will give you the TM for Dream Eater, which is not that great, as it only works on sleeping targets.
Route 13 doesn't have any different encounters, but there are some Trainers that you can battle for experience, there are also some good lines, because I remember that one Beauty who says "Do you want to battle some Pokémon with me?" used to say in the originals "Do you want to Pokémon with me?", which was a weird line in the game. I will be doing the second half of the long route to Fuchsia City in the next part.
