Now that we have the Silph Scope, it is time to head back to Lavender Town, but before that, we unlock a new Secret Technique called Sky Dash, where we ride on a machine which allows us to fly to places we have previously visited. Next up is the Pokémon Tower, where we deal with possessed Channelers and Ghost-type Pokémon.

As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.

The nice thing about Sky Dash is that you can revisit places, like the Slowpoke lady in Pewter City where you can get a lot of money from Big Pearls, and I can re-battle Mina at Vermilion City every day to get many Bottle Caps.
The Pokémon Tower is home to many Ghost-type Pokémon, well there is only one Ghost-type evolution line in this game, and that is the Gastly line.
Gastly can be encountered between Level 27 to 32, so it will have Shadow Ball when caught, as well as some nice status moves like Will-O-Wisp and Toxic, and that you can evolve it into Haunter in one level, and if you have a way to trade, you can evolve it again into Gengar, giving you a powerful Ghost/Poison-type Special Sweeper. There is a 5% chance of encountering Haunter in the wild, but Haunter does not get Shadow Ball until Level 30, so you can teach it Shadow Ball through TM. For level up moves, Haunter, and eventually Gengar can learn Dark Pulse at Level 36, which has terrible coverage, because why have both Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball when they are super effective against the same types? Gengar learns some nice TM moves, like Thunderbolt, Psychic and Mega Drain, and eventually Sludge Bomb. If you are looking for a Ghost-type to add to your team, Gengar is one of few Ghost-types available in this game, it has great Special Attack and Speed, so if you have a way to trade, I recommend using it on your team. Another thing is that you can ride Haunter, and for some reason, you cannot ride Gengar.
You can also find Cubone, which is a 10% encounter, and even though you can find Cubone in Rock Tunnel, the nice thing about finding a Cubone in Pokémon Tower is that you can evolve it into Marowak in one level, which is a good way to fill up the Pokédex. You can also find Chansey as the rare spawn, as well as Zubat and Golbat, both of which are 5% encounters in Pokémon Tower.
The Channelers in this tower use Gastly and Haunter, which isn't much variety, but they are the only Ghost-types in Gen 1, and Gengar would be a challenge if one of the Channelers used one at this point in the game. I was also surprised about the one that says "Destruction! Despair!" because that line wasn't in the original games, I think it was "Give me blood" back then. They even changed "Purified Protected Zone" to "Purified Protected Space".
You do get the TM for Teleport, which is now -6 priority and the user switches out, so it is a good option on very defensive Pokémon, as they are usually slow, and before it was a bad move where it only worked in wild Pokémon battles. I hope they keep that effect in Gen 8, or any future Pokémon games.
We do get a cutscene with the Marowak Ghost, because in the original games, you battle Marowak at that point, but because Wild Pokémon battles were removed from this game, we instead get a cutscene with Cubone.
At the very top of Pokémon Tower where Mr. Fuji is, we must fight Jessie and James, and both Arbok and Weezing have gained a few levels, and Weezing can use Dark Pulse to cover its weakness against Psychic-types, and Arbok has Crunch.
