Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! Playthrough 22: Blasting the Rocket Hideout
One thing I forgot to add in the description of the previous videos is that there are hidden items in the Game Corner, and you can pick up some good items, like Candy, or even Gold Bottle Caps. In this part, we enter Team Rocket's Hideout inside Celadon City's Game Corner and take on Team Rocket.
As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.
To those that are not familiar with Bottle Caps, they first appeared in Pokémon Sun & Moon, where they introduced Hyper Training, which maxes out one of your Pokémon's IVs when they are at Level 100. Gold Battle Caps are very rare and will boost all IVs to 31, which is useful for competitive players.
Now onto Team Rocket Hideout, first up is the Team Rocket Outfit from a Rocket Grunt on the 1st floor. There are spin tiles which you have to figure the way through, and they seem to change the speed for those in many games, in Red & Blue, you went very slow, and In FireRed & LeafGreen, you go very fast on the spin tiles. There are two TMs found in the Rocket Hideout, first up is Rest, which is more used for competitive battling, and the TM for Dark Pulse, which can be learned by a few Pokémon, like Ninetales, Persian, and even Blastoise can learn it.
I didn't like how they changed the Lift Key in this game, because in the original games, the Rocket Grunt you battle against will drop the Lift Key, which was a funny moment, but in this game, he just prevents you from ever getting the Lift Key, and you get the only time in the game you control Pikachu or Eevee in getting the Lift Key.
Then we get some tough fights up ahead, first up is Jessie and James, who now have Arbok and Weezing. Arbok has Glare and Poison Jab, and Weezing can use Toxic. They shouldn't be too hard if you have a good Psychic-type on your team.
Next up is the Team Rocket Admin Archer, and he is tough, his Weezing knows Dark Pulse and Flamethrower, and he also has a Golbat with Air Slash and Crunch. Good to see a character from HeartGold & SoulSilver in this game, where Archer was the lead Executive of Team Rocket, but in this game, he is an Admin, and this game did take place three years before the Johto games.
If that wasn't enough, Team Rocket's Boss, Giovanni is another tough fight, his Persian is very fast and can use Fake Out and Slash, and Rhyhorn can use Megahorn and Drill Run, but you should have a good Grass or Water-type to take out Rhyhorn in one attack. We should be able to free Cubone from Team Rocket and get the Silph Scope to view the Ghosts in the Pokémon Tower.
