This segment has the first Gym Leader battle with Roxanne. Geodude is not worth mentioning, but Nosepass is trickier. Mudkip got into Torrent-range and it could KO Nosepass easily. Then I immediately went to Route 116. I fought an optional Hiker for the quick experience pionts. I'll do this again later in the run.
The Magma Grunt in the Rustturf Tunnel is now very easy because I have a Marshtomp now. I received the Pokénav in the Devon Corp and I picked up Cut. Yes, I'll need this for extra Rare Candies because I'm not patient enough to manipulate them through Pick Up. Then I talked to Mr. Briney and I went straight to the Granite Cave where I talked to the Hiker before saving.
